Our dentists
The same three faces, every visit
Three dentists who know this practice.

Dr Michael Rosenthal
BDS · Principal Dentist
- English
Michael trained in Johannesburg and has practised in Sydney for over three decades, most of it here in Crows Nest. He’s built a reputation as a calm, conservative dentist who explains a treatment plan before he touches a drill — and who keeps a stash of origami for younger patients who need something to focus on. His general dentistry covers everything from root canal work to whitening, implants and dentures, with a manner patients describe as unhurried and honest.

Dr Wilson Lam
BSc BDent · Principal Dentist
- English
- Cantonese
- Mandarin
Wilson holds a Bachelor of Dentistry from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Science from UNSW, and speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin with patients who prefer it. He has a particular interest in keyhole dental implants and teeth straightening without braces, and treats every patient — especially children having X-rays — with the same care he’d want for his own family. Outside the practice he’s usually out on his bike or spending time at home.

Dr Melissa Chu
BDS BScD · Dentist
- English
- Cantonese
Melissa graduated from the University of Adelaide with First Class Honours and the Australian Prosthodontic Society’s SA Branch Prize, and speaks English and Cantonese. Since 2023 she’s also worked as a Clinical Educator at the University of Sydney, supervising at Sydney Dental Hospital’s extraction clinic — experience that shows in her gentle, methodical chairside manner, especially with nervous younger patients. She leads much of our children’s dentistry and MYOBrace work. When she’s not at the practice, you’ll usually find her bouldering.
Why a group practice
Three opinions are better than one
A solo dentist has no one to check their thinking. Working alongside each other changes how we practise.
- A second opinion, on the spot. For anything tricky, one of us can walk down the hall and take a look — not book you in somewhere else and make you wait.
- We actually talk to each other. Comparing notes keeps us from getting set in our ways — you get the benefit of three perspectives, not one habit.
- Cover when you need it. If your usual dentist is away, someone who already knows the practice — and can read your notes properly — is here instead.
